The Old Colony History Museum (OCHM), Taunton, MA, traces its roots back to 1853, making it one of New England's oldest historical societies. The OCHM collection contains regional objects and archives that bring local history to life for museum visitors. OCHM maintains a research library specializing in the genealogy of Southeastern Massachusetts and local history, a museum of objects associated with the history of the Taunton area, and educational programs that are open to the public. In addition to multiple Reed & Barton catalogs, including both the 1877, 1885 books, the collection contains over 200 examples of Reed & Barton Britania and silverware, as well as manufacturing tools. OCHM also has Reed family portraits, manuscripts, diaries, copies of newspaper articles, correspondences, company records, and catalogs pertaining to Reed & Barton in Taunton, ranging from the years 1824-2017.
